The IT Help Center provides support services for staff, faculty and students on issues related to the use of computer hardware, software, internet, audio visual and other Heritage technology.

 

The preferred way to contact the IT Help Center is to submit a work order using Track-IT or email ithelpdesk@heritage.edu. You may also call us at 509.865.8579.

If you are having trouble viewing MyHeritage, please try clearing your cache

In most computer-based web browsers,

to open menus used to clear your cache, cookies, and history,

press Ctrl-Shift-Delete (Windows) or Command-Shift-Delete (Mac).

You may retrieve your voicemail off-campus by following these directions:

  1. Call your Direct Dial in number (509-865-XXXX)
  2. When you hear your greeting press *
  3. Press #
  4. Enter your mailbox (extension) number
  5. Enter your password followed by #

Please review our  FAQ (frequently asked questions) . Many helpful hints are available here and may be able to answer your question immediately. Faculty can view a specific FAQ devoted to questions regarding MyHeritage by logging in and clicking "Faculty FAQ".
Password Management
 
All faculty, staff, and students can use the MyHeritage Password Management System to reset forgotten passwords.
 
 
Individuals who are applying to Heritage University and are having problems with their login can contact the Help Center during normal support hours
(please be prepared to prove your identity over the phone including your student ID number).

Wireless Internet

We upgraded the wireless system on campus during the summer of 2022. 

We upgraded the WiFi security during the summer of 2023

 

For Students, Faculty, and Staff using a personal laptop, mobile device, or loaner laptop, 
connect to HU-WiFi

       Select HU-WiFi from the available wireless networks and click connect
You will be automatically redirected to the logon portal from your laptop
You will be prompted to sign-in from a mobile device and then directed to the logon portal
Enter your HU username and password and click Sign-On, and then click continue to finish the connection
Your connection to HU-WiFi is encrypted and secured
 
For Staff and Faculty using a domain joined Heritage-provided laptop,
We have updated the WiFi network to HU-Employees
 
You will be automatically connected to HU-Employees
 
You will be required to sign-in every 90 days

Enter your heritage credentials

🙂You can now access the internet and HU systems, such as J1🙂
 
If you are connected to HU-Network and not the HU-Employees network, we need to update your connection to not interrupt your ability to access network resources. This can be accomplished by either docking your laptop in your office and restarting your device to receive the new policy update automatically or you can schedule an appointment with the IT Help Center for assistance.

Computer Labs for Students
 
Open computer labs are offered in the Academic Skills Center,
Donald K. North Library, and the Kathleen Ross Center.
 
These labs offer Windows 10 with Microsoft Office 2016.
Available browsers are Internet Explorer 11, Firefox, and Chrome.
