Book Credit

Book credit is a financial aid credit that can be used to purchase textbooks through the HU Virtual Bookstore. Eligible students must apply for the credit if they plan to use it. Students can apply using an online application form.

Form Location

  1. Log into MyHeritage
  2. Hover over the Students tab
  3. Hover over the Student Accounts option in the menu
  4. Select the Online Bookstore Credit Request Form

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BOOK CREDIT:

  • You must be enrolled and have a course status of "current".
  • You must have sufficient Financial Aid to cover your tuition and these additional charges. Please check your balance on your MyHeritage Student Account.

 

Once the Virtual Bookstore Credit Request Form has been received and verified by the Business Office, your book credit should be available within 24 to 48 business hours. Once approved you will receive an email confirmation from VB@news.mbsbooks.com with your Book Credit ID.

The Virtual Bookstore Credit can only be used for purchases through the MBS Online Bookstore.

 

The maximum amount of credit that you can request is $1,000.00. If the cost of your books and materials exceeds $1,000.00 for the semester and you do have the available credit on your bill, you must contact Student Accounts by email at StudentAccounts@heritage.edu for an increase.

 

**Note that the amount approved is subject to the amount of available Financial Aid credit you have for the current semester. The approved amount may be lower than your original request or your request may be denied if you do not have the requested Financial Aid credit on your student bill."
