You can purchase your textbooks online through the Virtual Bookstore.

There are 3 things you need to get started:
2. Computer/Laptop with Internet Access: You can visit campus to use computer labs for students. Computer labs are available in the Donald K. North Library and the Academic Skills Center (ASC) in the Kathleen Ross snjm Building.
3. Form of Payment Accepted Online: You will need a form of payment accepted online. Refer to Payment Options for Textbooks on the right-hand side of this page for more information on what payment options are accepted.
Step 1: To access the HU Virtual Bookstore, click Virtual BookStore in the Quick Links menu on the left-hand side of the page.
Step 2: Once there, select Let's Get Started. The following list will show up.
Step 3:For the first column, choose the current semester.
Step 4: In the second column, click on Site to choose the category for your course. You can use the table from https://heritage.edu/student-life/bookstore/ to view the list of courses in each category. Once you select the category that corresponds to your class, a drop-down menu will appear in the third column. Select your course name from the drop-down menu. Repeat the process using Step 4 for each of your classes.
Step 5: Once you have added all your classes, click View Your Materials
Step 6: Select the items you want to purchase and click Add Selected to Cart.
Step 7: The bookstore will ask you to sign into your bookstore account. If you do not have a bookstore account, create one and login.
Step 8: Proceed to checkout. You will be asked to select a shipping type and to enter your payment information.
Book credit is a financial aid credit that can be used to purchase textbooks through the HU Virtual Bookstore. Eligible students must apply for the credit if they plan to use it. Students can apply using an online application form.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BOOK CREDIT:
Once the Virtual Bookstore Credit Request Form has been received and verified by the Business Office, your book credit should be available within 24 to 48 business hours. Once approved you will receive an email confirmation from VB@news.mbsbooks.com with your Book Credit ID.
The Virtual Bookstore Credit can only be used for purchases through the MBS Online Bookstore.
The maximum amount of credit that you can request is $1,000.00. If the cost of your books and materials exceeds $1,000.00 for the semester and you do have the available credit on your bill, you must contact Student Accounts by email at StudentAccounts@heritage.edu for an increase.
**Note that the amount approved is subject to the amount of available Financial Aid credit you have for the current semester. The approved amount may be lower than your original request or your request may be denied if you do not have the requested Financial Aid credit on your student bill." (From the Credit Request Form)**
If you plan to pay with a debit/credit card, there are no additional steps.
