Description

An intensive introduction to critical reading and expository writing as encountered in the academic setting. Includes practice in reading, paraphrasing, summarizing, responding to, and synthesizing academic prose and introduces library and documentation techniques. Emphasizes the use of correct, coherent English prose, orderly development of ideas, and precise exposition through explanations and examples. Prerequisite: Heritage University Assessment Test or successful completion of ENG 099B or an equivalent course. Offered Fall and Spring semesters.
