Description

Expanding on the knowledge and skills developed in Essentials of CLS I, this course will continue to explore the various roles an MLS professional may be asked or expected to fill.
Students will apply learned leadership skills in budgeting, ethics, accreditation, and equipment selection utilizing case studies, discussions, and focused assignments. (Other leadership topics may be incorporated as time allows)
Research methods will be discussed and a research project completed in conjunction with a clinical affiliate. Presentation of the findings is part of the project.
Clinical correlations will continue melding previously learned material with new knowledge and skills learned. Prerequisite(s): Admission to MLS Program BIOL 405 Essentials of Clinical Laboratory Science I
