Description
A course to introduce the concept of ceramic clays as an artmaking tool. This course builds on a foundational understanding of material handling and concept development. Advanced autonomy in the ceramics classroom includes education about the kiln room, knowledge of specific properties of various types of clay bodies, firing temperatures, glaze chemistry, and environmental safety in the art studio.
