This course is grounded in assumptions from Nightingale's theory of nursing arts and Carper's aesthetics as a fundamental pattern of knowing in nursing. An experiential course, based in the principles of performing arts, the focus is on the act of care; integrates relational aesthetics and explores and applies dramatic arts foundational to allopathic and holistic nursing care competencies. Prerequisite(s): Freshman Standing. Cross-listed as DRMA 205.

If you are going to be missing class, please try to inform Dr. Clark as soon as possible. The sooner you contact her, the easier it will be for you to have your make-up assignments be created or designated for another in-lab day.

Please email or send her a text message. Whichever option works, but ensure that it is your responsibility to reach out and notify her of your absence. For whatever that reason may be. Please see our Nursing Policies on Professionalism #009 and Attendance #029.

Depending on the in-class participation activity, it may not be possible for the exact activitiy make-up. But Dr. Clark will find and arrange similiar content and material.
