Hi there! My name is Jim Dugan, and I’ll be your instructor this semester. Feel free to call me Dr. Dugan or Jim, whichever you’re more comfortable with. I’ve been working at Heritage since 2020. I’m chair of the Department of Literature and Languages, as well as the instructional designer for the university. That means I help faculty members in every department with their curricula and instruction, and I provide guidance on how to incorporate technology tools effectively in online and face-to-face courses. I enjoy working at Heritage because of its important mission and because of the phenomenal students I get to interact with every day.

I currently live in Vancouver, Washington, which is essentially a suburb of Portland. I come to Toppenish once a month, so if you ever want to meet in person, let me know and I’ll schedule a meeting for us when I’m on campus. In the meantime, if you need anything at all, don’t hesitate to contact me. I can be reached via email at dugan_j@heritage.edu or by phone at (509) 907-2376.

I look forward to working with you this semester, and I hope you get a lot out of this class!
