Description

Advanced writing course centered on social and civic issues through exploration of the food sovereignty movement to create advocacy-directed written work. Writing assignments center on those commonly used in the nonprofit, NGO and government sectors including issue briefs, white papers and outreach communications. Strong expository and persuasive writing skills in addition to solid research skills required along with active interest in public service and advocacy-related roles. Open to all disciplines. Prerequisite(s): ENG 102. Co-requisite(s): None. Cross-listed as No.
