Hello!

I have been teaching at Heritage University since 2013, and my favorite aspects of teaching are connecting with students, helping them find their voices, and witnessing their success.

I have a BA in English and a certificate in Social & Environmental Justice from Washington State University. I also have an MFA in Creative Writing from Pacific University.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, cooking, playing the piano, weaving, and spending time with my husband, son, two dogs, and four cats. I am a compulsive list-maker, an avid Star Trek fan, and a social media manager for my pets. The natural world fills me with wonder, acts of kindness inspire me, and I believe with all my heart that we don't find the good in the world unless we are the good in the world.
