Description

This course addresses the changing curriculum in the American public schools (grades P-12). The course is designed for both specialists and generalists in education, particularly principals, supervisors, and subject area specialists. Through experiences gained in this course, graduate students will be knowledgeable about the function, development, alignment, implementation, and assessment of curriculum. Candidates will be knowledgeable about innovations, school improvement planning, issues, trends, and federal and state regulations in order to exert leadership in articulating curricular reform to school boards, parents and professional staff members.
